Members of the Taiwanese, Tibetan and Falun Dafa communities came out to protest against Chinese President Hu Jintao as he attended a state dinner with Prime Minister Paul Martin on Saturday Sept. 8, 2005. Demonstrations were protesting the 700 missiles pointed at Taiwan, and calling on Hu Jintao to respect Taiwanese sovereignty.
